Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to INA Surveyors Journal undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of the published articles. In this system, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.
Review Workflow
- Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editorial staff conducts an initial assessment of each submission to determine its relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and originality. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic criteria may be rejected without external peer review. - Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise and the absence of conflicts of interest. - Evaluation Period
Reviewers are typically given 2 to 4 weeks to complete their evaluation. Manuscripts are assessed based on originality and novelty, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, relevance to surveying and geospatial sciences, and overall scientific contribution. - Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor may reach one of the following decisions:- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
- Revision and Resubmission
Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in response to the reviewers’ comments and submit a point-by-point response letter. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary. - Final Decision and Publication
Once a manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the production stage, including copyediting, layout formatting, and proofreading. The final version is then published online in the next available issue.
